Buffy the Vampire Slayer is one of the best shows ever! If you haven't seen it, give it a chance! You'll be so glad you did! It's about the fight between the forces of good and evil, and has demons, vampires, magic and a lot more! The writing was some of the best on tv, and the cast just rules! Willow's my favorite female character on the show [why do I always like the sidekicks better? hmmm]. And the coolest character on the whole show is the vampire Spike [James Marsters]. He started off as a villain, but now he's really become a more complex person. Even though he seemingly met his end when Buffy ended, He came back as part of the cast of Angel! Let's keep our fingers crossed for a new Spike project. The makeup and special effects couldn't be better, and I bet the stories in some episodes are cooler than your current favorite show! If you get the chance, there are three episodes that are my favorites, 3.01 - "Anne" which features an evil conspiracy from another dimension [kind of like They Live], 3.09 - "The Wish", the ultimate Buffy what-if tale! It shows how everything would be if Buffy never came to Sunnydale! It'll blow your mind! And 3.16 - "Doplegangland" a great follow up to the wish, featuring a very hot vampire Willow! Everyone needs to see those episodes at the very least!. The Flash is one of my favorite superheroes. I'm more of a Wally West fan than a Barry Allen fan, but I like them all, really. The show kind of contorted the comics, but it made a cool stand alone Flash continuity. The special effects and costumes were very well done. I think this show was given a very raw deal by the network. But I really think it brought superheroes out of the campy funk they were in. The Flash stars John Wesley Shipp as Barry Allen, a police lab tech who gets hit by lightning in his lab and becomes The Flash. The other main characters are S.T.A.R. Labs scientist Tina McGee [Amanda Pays from Max Headroom] and fellow police lab tech Julio [Alex Désert from Becker]. Other cool guest stars include Richard Belzer [from The Puppet Masters. and Law & Order SVU] as reporter Joe Kline, Dick Miller [from Demon Knight, Matinee, Terminator, Night of the Creeps and Gremlins] as Fosnight, Gloria Reuben [from Timecop and The Agency] as Sabrina, Angela Bassett [from Alias, Contact and Strange Days] as Linda Lake, Mark Hamill [from the original Star Wars trilogy] as The Trickster, Michael Champion [from Total Recall] as Captain Cold and Jeffrey Combs [from The Frighteners, The Re-Animator movies, Justice League Unlimited, Deep Space Nine and Enterprise] as Jimmy Swain. The Flash is finally coming out on DVD!! It's sad that we had to wait this long for such a great show. The Flash has the best Rogues Gallery in comics. I really would've loved to see them all appear if the show lasted past the first season. I have every Flash comic since the title was restarted with Wally West as The Flash in the 80's. This is a great show. I like the setting, the characters, and the writing. It's a cool combination of legendary and contemporary times. There's a lot of action and special effects, not to mention gorgeous women. A lot of people think that Lucy Lawless [Xena] is great looking, but I don't see it. Renee O'Connor [Gabrielle] on the other hand is one of the best looking women on tv! She's just amazing, and a great actress as well! The cool thing about the show is that it has gorgeous women without being mindless like Baywatch. There are actually interesting, well written stories too. There are lots of reasons to watch the show, I'm sure you'll find several reasons of your own. The show's over now but it's slowly but surely coming out on DVD! The only thing I didn't like about the last episodes was Gabrielle's short haircut. She still looks amazingly gorgeous, but I think every woman looks much better with long hair.
